Pray. Fight. Win.
When broken theology produces a distorted reality, it is easy to sweep one’s irresponsibility under the rug of God’s sovereignty. “God is in control” are the cloaking words under which many hope to hide the consequences of their weak faith. No, God is not in control. If He were in control, we wouldn’t be in the mess we are facing. On the contrary, God has put us at the helm and given us the freedom to consult Him on steering the ship. As the Psalmist David gracefully said, “The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s; But the earth He has given to the children of men.” (Psalms 115:16) We have a part to play in the unfolding of our future. If we neglect the clear and loving direction God offers, then the consequences we face cannot be qualified as the sovereign will of God. They are the result of our rebellion against Him. I write this to emphasize that a stagnant spiritual life combined with a sovereign view of God is the most useless approach we can endorse in these times.
Now is the time to take hold of the authority you have been given as God’s child. Now is the time for you to move in faith against the works of wicked in our land. It was not God who ordained the slaughter of 59 million babies in the last 58 years. It was not God who unleashed the sexual perversions which have stripped the innocence of our children. These were decisions we made as a nation. Unless we repent and turn to Jesus for salvation from our sins, He will not step in and redeem our land.
Don’t be foolish to believe that inactivity on your part will cause a miraculous activity by His hand. This is why we are directed to pray, fast, and seek Him. If you long to see righteousness restored in our land, then the actions you take now must reflect the urgency you carry for His kingdom to come.
If you continue with your life as if nothing will change, much will be lost before you realize the irreversible decay in our culture. It isn’t God’s will for things to spiral into wickedness. No, that plan is from the chambers of hell. God’s will is that none should perish and for all to come to repentance.
Choose a side. Be strong and courageous, and know the Lord is with you. (Joshua 1:9) There’s a battle before us to fight. Pray, fast, and stand in faith so you can witness the salvation God desires to work through you into our nation.
